Same has introduced the new Iron3 210, a tractor designed for use by large scale arable farmers and contractors who need a tractor capable of working big areas with large cultivators in a wide variety of conditions.
Heart of the tractor is the new electronically managed Deutz six-cylinder TIER III Common Rail engine which is rated at 220hp and can be run on 100% bio-diesel fuel. With a seven litre displacement, this engine is a state-of-the art of Deutz design – its high performance combined with low fuel consumption make it truly outstanding.
The SAME Iron3 210 also features a high-performance, reliable transmission thanks to a powershift that provides three ranges and nine power speeds for a total of 27 forward and 27 reverse speeds – gear changes are made using a pushbutton-operated sequential gearshift. The Automatic Powershift automatically selects the best gear depending on load conditions and motor speed.
For repetitive tasks, the tractor is equipped with the Sequential Drive System, which stores settings in order to speed up repetitive tasks.
Capable of efficiently performing the most demanding of jobs, the new Iron3 210 has also been equipped with a new hydraulic power shuttle and a new braking system which uses an automotive-concept servo braking system. There is also the Electronic Park Brake – an electro-mechanical system for safe tractor parking in any conditions.
The Iron3 210 also features the Dynamic Rear Proportioning system which, when activated, is designed to increase traction when working with heavy implements in taxing conditions.
Visually, the key feature of the new model, is the modern and aggressive-looking one piece bonnet which is in true Same style and used by models throughout the company’s tractor range. The cab offers the operator a high degree of comfort – it is soundproofed
and has pneumatic suspension along with good visibility and climate management.
