Reco: SW weighing system on DPA Polyvrac trailed spreaders

As a specialist in fertiliser spreading, Sulky designs, manufactures and retails a wide range of trailed fertiliser spreaders with booms or discs, for capacities from 8.5-29.0t total laden weight.
Very precise rate control is obtained thanks to their mechanical DPA belt drive, and these spreaders designed with a monocoque hopper now have an optional weigh-cell possibility.
Named SW, this device will provide the operator with one important piece of information – the remaining weight in the hopper.
In contrast to weighing systems on the ever-increasing number of mounted fertiliser spreaders, the Sulky SW device does not need a double frame, which leads to savings in weight and therefore increased payloads. It calculates, through extensometry, the minute distortions due to the load between the axle and the drawbar and then compares this information with the empty weight values.
An in-cab control box informs the operator of the result. It knows the precise remaining weight in the hopper to within +/-3%.
When refilling in-field through compressed air (dry powder lime), the Sulky device could avoid a truck having to return to the field to finish the application.
Another possibility, during harvest, is that the SW device transforms a DPA Polyvrac into a weighing trailer/chaser bin.
