Lamborghini: R7 210 tractor unveiled

The new tractor R7 210 has been designed by Lamborghini to perform the most demanding jobs in the 200hp-plus range.
Heart of the new model is the powerful, electronically managed Deutz Tier III Common Rail engine, which can if required run on 100% biodiesel. With maximum power rated at of 220hp, this seven-litre engine features high efficiency with low fuel consumption, and is designed to ensure the tractor can cope with the most demanding tasks and operating conditions.
Power needs to be transferred to the driving wheels and this is achieved by the tractor’s powershift transmission which offers three ranges and nine power speeds for a total of 27 forward and 27 reverse speeds – gear changes are made using a pushbutton-operated sequential gearshift.
The transmission fitted to the new Lamborghini R7 210 is also equipped with a hydraulic power shuttle which uses an electronically operated, oil immersed double multidisc clutch system, and the Automatic Powershift is used to automatically select the best and most efficient gear depending on load conditions and engine speed.
When working in difficult conditions where traction may be at a premium, the tractor’s Dynamic Rear Positioning system is designed to provide added traction when, say, ploughing or heavy cultivating.
Other key features of the Lamborghini R7 210 include the Sequential Drive System, which stores settings in order to avoid the operator having to make repetitive tasks, the new automotive-concept servo braking system, and the Electronic Park Brake, an electromechanical system for safe tractor parking on even the steepest of slopes.
The new one-piece hood provides the Lamborghini family look and the operator is treated to a high-comfort cab having pneumatic self-leveling suspensions and highvisibility roof.
