The new Claas GPS pilot terminal makes field work considerably easier.
The driver is given an interface that can provide parallel guidance along a line from A to B, a countour mode on headlands, or along a circular track. The track across the field is displayed on the 20cm screen while the machine is guided reliably and comfortably with accuracy up to 2-3cm depending on the correction signal. In the field work becomes much easier thanks to the new-style terminal.
Four different viewing angles ensure the driver is kept in the picture perfectly with 2D or 3D options, plus a perspective to the north or birds-eye view. The zoom function maximises the display detail with the actual area covered also shown. Intelligent and useful functions have been built in: the tracks and marker points can be stored and if work is inturrupted for some reason, it can be resumed at exactly the same spot. In addition, acoustic warnings sound if overlap occours or when the headland is approaching. The field border can also be entered prior to starting the day’s work to prevent disputes with neighbours.
Priority number one for Claas is always ease of operation. This is achieved by use of symbols and an alphanumaric keyboard on the touch screen. The graphics also support integrated job and project management. When setting up the terminal, each stage progresses logically so that tasks can be aranged by field, farm and machine.
The GPS Pilot accurately measures the area to provide precise information for calculating application mapping and spreading operations.
