Cumbria-based Deutz-Fahr dealer Taylor & Braithwaite Ltd has been appointed sole UK importer for Veenhuis, Holland’s market leader for slurry injectors and tankers, including disc, trailing shoe and arable machines.
Veenhuis machinery is particularly popular with contractors and medium- to large-scale farmers. The company designs machinery that offers high capacities with low operating costs, enabling the farm contractor to maximise returns, and is happy to manufacture to specific customer needs.
Veenhuis manufactures a comprehensive range of tankers from 8,000-20,000 litres and injectors from 3.80-8.75m wide.
The Dutch company also manufactures forage wagons and shuttle wagons for conveying forage from the harvester to the roadside for collection.
Taylor & Braithwaite believes that slurry injection is the only long-term solution to ever-tightening environmental laws – with the expanding NVZs – and also increasing artificial fertiliser costs.
Taylor & Braithwaite employs dedicated full-time staff qualified in every aspect of supplying and maintaining farm machinery. It has established Veenhuis dealer and service support in the North (Rickerby Ltd), West Midlands (Agricultural Industry Suppliers) and Scotland (James Gordon & Son) and invites further dealer enquiries with the aim of national coverage in 2009.
