Lemken: New DuraMaxx bodies for VariTansanit ploughs

Lemken popular VariTansanit plough is now available with the new DuraMaxx (maximum durability) body that was first seen at Agritechnica 2007. It has recently entered series production and made its UK debut at Lamma 2009.

DuraMaxx components are claimed to offer up to 50% increased life expectancy compared to standard plough parts. Lemken have achieved this by developing components that are free from welds, drillings, and punch holes. Absence of these means the material can be hardened further without fear of creating weak spots liable to crack or break.

Although developed to offer increased lifetime, an additional benefit is that the parts can be changed much more quickly. Removal of a single pin, without tools, allows the shin to be removed. This, in turn, allows the slats to be moved forwards and unclipped without need to remove nuts, bolts or clips. Lemken claims the shin and all slats on one body can be replaced, without tools, in less than a minute.
