Richard Western Ltd has introduced a new spinning-disc spreading system for the FBS spreader range to meet the increasing demand for more accurate spreading of farmyard manure, compost and waste products.
The FBS spreader range offers big cubic capacities using a 2m wide body on tandem axles with big flotation tyres to reduce ground compaction. Three models are available with 12t, 16t and 20t carrying capacities.
The spreaders use two horizontal beaters to deliver a constant and consistent flow of material to the large-diameter spinning discs, resulting in a fine particle size delivered evenly over the spread area.
The FBS spreaders use shaft and gearbox drive lines to the spinning discs and to the horizontal beaters, and the material is delivered to the spreading mechanism using a chain and slat system with four heavy-duty floor chains.
The floor is driven with an adjustable hydraulic drive with the option of electronic in-cab floor-speed control, or radar-operated ground-speed control.
The spreaders are capable of spreading up to 24m and a boundary spreading limiter is fitted as standard.
