Broadwood International: CH4000 bale feeder launched in the UK

Expanding its range of the highly acclaimed Hustler bale feeders, Broadwood International has launched the Hustler CH4000, a trailed two-bale feeder that carries one bale on the rear tines for transport and the other on the cradle ready to feed out. Particularly useful for larger paddocks and fields, the Hustler CH4000 enables the operator to reduce transportation time and therefore fuel and handling costs.

Designed to feed out both round and square bales, the Hustler CH4000’s unique, patented loading system offers complete control of the bale from the ground to the platform. Providing the ultimate in bale handling, the two high-tensile forged tines impale the bale and hold it securely during the loading process and when travelling over rough terrain.

Big on safety, the Hustler CH4000 allows the farmer to operate the bale feeder’s hydraulically adjusted feed platform from the tractor cab.

Robustly manufactured using a simple and extremely low-maintenance design, with no chain drives to maintain or break down, the bale feeder is quick and easy to operate on all types and sizes of bale.

The Hustler CH4000 has wide wheel positioning for maximum stability and high ground clearance under the chassis, yet it is compact for easily fitting through gateways. Other key features include a powerful hydraulic direct-drive system, heavy-duty axle assembly and a fork position indicator for easier bale alignment. When mounted, the bale feeder fits snugly to the back of the tractor while the high latch point carries the weight of the whole machine and bale, eliminating stress on the tyres.

Instead of the traditional method of chopping animal feed, which becomes embedded into the ground or is easily blown away, the Hustler CH-4000’s rotors turn at different speeds but in the same direction to tease out the bale enabling feed to be laid out along the ground. This handling and feed-out action cuts down on waste, which makes the Hustler extremely appealing to all livestock managers.

Available from exclusive UK distributor, Broadwood International, the Hustler CH4000 does away completely with inferior high-maintenance systems and is built to withstand the demands of tough, everyday use. Designed and manufactured in New Zealand since 1963, Hustler is a well-established brand in many countries of the world, where it has achieved an enviable reputation for its build quality and ease-of-use.
